History
From humble beginnings in the front living room of a house in Pennyburn, Cornerstone has grown into a strong and exciting church. Its members have a clear vision to touch the City of Derry and the surrounding regions with the love and compassion of God. God has brought together a wide variety of people from different backgrounds, cultures and ages to see that this vision becomes a reality.
Present
There needs to be a focus on the individual to recognize, resource and release their personal talents and gifts. Our immediate future is built upon the premise that God has an incredible plan for every member of Cornerstone and it is our joy to see lives enriched and enhanced for His glory!
Future
Ultimately, we are convinced that God's desire for us as a church is to own our own 'centre of operations'. This building would help facilitate the vision, but would not be limited to it. Community, outreach and personal development would be central themes for its existence.
Covering
As a Church, we are members of the Assemblies of God Ireland. Assemblies of God is one of the fastest growing and largest Pentecostal denominations in the world at this time. There are over twenty five A.O.G. churches in Ireland with approximately forty five ordained ministers.
Cornerstone holds its own charitable status.
